She spent 2 years teaching K-12 art at an international school in Malawi, Africa before moving to New York City and starting to work at Art Strong! She loves getting to know the kids and seeing them light up when they see their ideas come to life. Outside of Art Strong, Beth continues illustrating her second children’s book, vending at art fairs, and reading in the park.
Jailenn

She has been an educator for 10 years, working with toddlers, elementary and high school students, but her main love is early childhood education. Miss Jay loves being able to experience the world anew through the eyes of our smallest artists each day. Outside of Art Strong, you can find her painting, designing costumes or baking.
Lola
Lola originally from Berlin, Germany, studied jazz in France and then earned her degree in music from Columbia University. She speaks four languages and brings her love of creativity into everything she does, from DIY projects to crocheting cute creatures at home alongside her cats. Lola does a little bit of everything at Art Strong, she leads and assists our Art Explorers and After School Classes, leads Little Explorers, Kids Night Out, and is a studio assistant throughout the week. She is very resourceful with her projects, often using recycled and obscure materials that are always exciting for the kids!
Lauren
Lauren grew up in San Diego, CA, and has always loved art and design. She studied Studio Arts, emphasis in Graphic Arts, at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. After graduating, she worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, which inspired her to pursue roles in art education. Lauren moved to NYC and felt incredibly lucky to find a place like Art Strong, where she could grow as an instructor. She loves working with kids and helping them build confidence through their art. In the Fall she will begin her masters at Pratt in Art and Design History and Library Science.
